It’s great to be internet savvy. But that often leads to the confusion brought on by the enormous range and quantity of choices available at different prices.

Every product you find on this site will be of good quality, some obviously better than others, which is not always reflected in the price.

Occasionally, we get a pleasant surprise in finding a superior product that is many dollars cheaper than its closest rivals. Of course, you should pick what reflects your budget and what you think you can get the most use out of.

Why Do We Pick The Products?

Collectively, my team and myself own, used to own, or have used at least once just about every product we write about.

When I first started cooking, like most newbie cooks, it was often a matter of luck for me to choose the right products. What I did was simply choose what I believed (hoped) were the best cooking products around. And yes, some were good, while others were definitely not! At this point, we knew we needed to find a better form of research.

It’s believed that 55% of Americans begin their product search on Amazon, which is America’s most trusted online retailer. So that’s what we do now as well, giving preference mostly to Amazon’s bestseller lists. It’s not rocket science that if a kitchen product sells well on Amazon, with a 4 to 5-star rating, then it really MUST be good.

In addition to Amazon, we also look very closely at new technology, particularly those “Smart” devices coming more and more into the marketplace. As an example, think of Amazon’s Alexa family of smart kindles, tablets, and so on.

It’s interesting to note there’s quite a battle for “Smart” supremacy going on between Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and Apple. It will be interesting to see what new developments, the winners of this war bring to the market and benefit the consumer (that’s us!) along the way. We’ll keep you posted with anything new (and useful) that comes along.
